Abstract

Heart failure is a clinical syndrome, caused by a structural and/or functional cardiac abnormality, resulting in reduced cardiac output and/or elevated intracardiac pressures at rest or during stress. In order to adequately treat patients with this clinical syndrome, it is very important to be able to make an accurate diagnosis that allows us to identify the underlying aetiology. For this reason, imaging techniques play a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of heart failure. We review how Cardio-MRI is a reference technique in these patients.
