The 5 keys in the evaluation with echo Doppler of arteriosclerotic plaques: “The 5 steps”

Doppler ultrasound, carotid plaques, severity characterizationAbstract
We propose from the Vascular Chapter of SISIAC a conceptual algorithm of 5 key steps to order the evaluation of arteriosclerotic plaques found in Doppler Echo of neck vessels, and that can naturally be applied to arterial Doppler echo of lower limbs, upper limbs, etc. They are:
- Presence and number
- Location and extension
- Characterization
- Hemodynamic significance
- Conclusion
