Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has established itself as a good technique for the anatomical and functional evaluation of the atrial septal defect (AIS), allowing the detection of alterations such as septal defects (atrial septal defect [ASD]) and other related anomalies. Here we present an optimized protocol to obtain high quality images by cine sequences with the aim of making an accurate diagnosis.
