There are atypical forms of presenting acute coronary syndrome and its etiology is not always related to coronary atherosclerosis. Systemic inflammatory processes may have repercussions at different vascular levels, including coronary arteries as well as large vessels such as the aorta. So the diagnostic and therapeutic approach differs from conventional. CT scan allows to evaluate the aorta in all its extension, as well as the coronary tree, constituting itself as a technique of wide utility for the initial approach of these patients and of their potential complications.
