Masses over the interatrial septum: are they always what they seem?

Two cases of masses adhered to the interatrial septum in which the initial diagnostic suspicion was that of atrial myxoma are presented. Despite initial characteristics that can lead to confusion, multimodality imaging allows differential diagnosis and correct diagnosis to be made non-invasively.
