Abstract

Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is defined by the presence of increased thickness of the LV Wall that cannot be explained only by abnormal load conditions.

A case of a young woman diagnosed with cardiomyopathy asymmetric hypertrophy (HCM) with LV outflow tract obstruction and mitral regurgitation is presented. Surgical myomectomy resolved the regurgitation without requirement for any additional mitral valve procedures.
