Severe aortic regurgitation: Do not forget to check for wall thickening. Case Report

valve disease, vasculitis, echocardiographyAbstract
Different systemic diseases can cause valvular lesions secondary to inflammation. The most common variants of vasculitis mainly affect the aorta and its branches. In some patients, coronary and valvular lesions may appear due to inflammatory processes of the intima. Valvular leaflet thickening is rarely observed and is assessed by echocardiography. We present the case of a patient who developed severe aortic insufficiency in the context of vasculitis with large vessels involvement.
