The left atrial appendage aneurysm is a condition characterized by the abnormal dilation of this structure, of congenital or acquired cause. Patients with this condition may be asymptomatic or present manifestations such as dyspnea, palpitations, chest pain or cardioembolism. Diagnosis is generally incidental through diagnostic imaging in the approach to other pathologies such as atrial fibrillation or heart failure. The use of multimodal cardiovascular imaging allows identification, characterization, appropriate differential diagnosis, and surgical planning. Treatment should be surgical, whenever the patient's conditions allow it, in order to prevent embolic events and electrical complications
