Abstract

The stress cardiomyopathy or Takotsubo syndrom it’s defined by transitory sistolic dysfunction of left ventricle on the clinical and biochemical scenario of myocardial ischemia, so for the diagnosis it is obligatory to dismiss an acute coronary syndrome. The mechanism of this illness obey to a set of neurohumoral process that conduct to the impaired contraction that does not follow a coronary territory, giving therefore the particular ballooning shape of the LV. We present the case of a young woman with cardiovascular risk factors that manifest chest pain, electrocardiographic abnormalities and segmental wall motion disorders after a surgery.
