Abstract

Mitroaortic junction abscess is a diagnostic challenge using conventional imaging techniques with a high mortality rate in case of diagnostic delay. The diagnosis lies mainly in the suspicion that it may have certain clinical and electrocardiographic manifestations, as well as certain echocardiographic findings where 3D and multiplanar echocardiogram tools can help to evaluate the abscess, as well as its extension, in this case through the ascending thoracic aorta
