Clinically significant paravalvular regurgitation is a serious complication in patients with valvular prosthesis. We presented the clinical case of a 58 years old woman with mitral paravalvular leak and dyspnea in a poor functional class in whom a percutaneous closure of the leak was performed, complicated in the follow-up with embolization of the device. The echocardiogram provides essential information on the characteristics of the dehiscence, prior and during the procedure, as well as in the short and long term follow-up.
