Double atrial septum (DAS) is a very rare atrial septal anomaly in which there is a duplicated septum with a persistent interatrial cavity between these two chambers, however, embryologically, is presumably a persistent left venous valve of the sinus venosus. So far, there are only 14 reported cases in adults without other associated congenital anomalies, some of which are related to systemic embolic events. We present the case of a 44-year-old woman with DAS and interatrial cavity without communication to either atrium and without relationship with embolisms.
