Requirements

COMPLIANCE WITH INTERNATIONAL REPORTING GUIDELINES

All manuscripts submitted to RETIC must comply with the international reporting guidelines applicable to their manuscript type:

  • Case reports must strictly adhere to the CARE Case Report Guidelines.
  • Review articles correspond to narrative reviews and must comply with the methodological and structural requirements defined by the journal.

Failure to comply with these guidelines will result in editorial rejection..

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PUBLICATION

All manuscripts must comply with the current Author Guidelines of RETIC.

It is assumed that:

  • the corresponding author is responsible for ensuring compliance with these instructions, and
  • all co-authors are aware of, have contributed to, and agree with the content of the submitted manuscript.

MANUSCRIPT FORMAT

Manuscripts must be prepared exclusively using the official RETIC template corresponding to the manuscript type.

Manual formatting: Word document with A4 size page format, with 2.5 centimeters margin at all ends, Arial 12 pt font with 1.5 line spacing and with page numbering (including abstracts and title page) in the lower right corner.

Manuscripts not prepared using the official RETIC template will be rejected without peer review.

MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION

Manuscripts are accepted exclusively through the journal’s editorial platform, Open Journal Systems (OJS).

The submission system will guide authors step by step through the process of entering article metadata and uploading the required files.

REQUIRED FILES FOR SUBMISSION

Each submission must include the following files, uploadedseparately:

1. Manuscript

  • Full text
  • Anonymized
  • Prepared using the official RETIC template: review o case report

2. Author Information Form

  • Contains all information that may compromise manuscript anonymity
  • Download

3. Author Declaration of Editorial Policies Compliance

  • Originality and authorship
  • Copyright and publication license
  • Ethics and informed consent
  • Conflicts of interest
  • Source of funding

4. Image, figure, table, and/or video files

  • According to the formats and specifications established by the journal

NAME OF THE FILES.

  • The Data Sheet should be sent in a file named with the worddatos (followed by an underscore and without accents) of the first surname of the corresponding author. Example: datos_molina.doc
  • The article should be sent in a file with the title of the manuscript in lowercase letters.Example: complicación asociada a infarto miocárdico reporte de caso.doc
  • The letter of compliance with editorial policies should be sent in a file named with the word cumplimiento (followed by an underscore and without accents) of the first surname of the corresponding author.Example: cumplimiento_molina.doc
