Welcome to the August 2021 issue of RETIC. In this issue, Dr. Martín Lombardero explains the contradictions in the diagnosis of myocarditis due to COVID, Dr. José Forteza reviews the determinants of diastolic function besides the ventricular structure itself, and Dr. Xabier Chango reviews the experience of his center in the diagnosis with MRI of cardiac masses. In the clinical cases section we have fantastic examples of endocarditis, prosthetic valve thrombosis, aortitis, ventricular thrombi and primary cardiac lymphoma. And in the tips section we review the VExUS systemic congestion assessment system and color duplex in the diagnosis of carotid stenosis.
