Echocardiography is crucial for the diagnosis of congenital heart diseases by sequentially analyzing abdominal and atrial situs. Situs is classified as solitus, inversus, or isomeric. Abdominal situs evaluation is performed via a subcostal view, assessing liver-stomach positioning and the relationship between the aorta and IVC. Atrial situs assessment identifies atrial morphological characteristics. Accurate situs diagnosis is essential for surgical management and patient prognosis. Additional methods such as MRI and CT can complement the evaluation in complex cases.
