Abstract

Chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension is a little known disease, with an increasing incidence in recent decades and high morbidity and mortality. Early diagnosis continues to be a challenge, but it is essential to improve the vital prognosis of these patients. There are cases, such as the one presented in this article, in which this disease is associated with the presence of thrombi in the right ventricle in which surgery combined with thromboendarterectomy and mass exeresis is the best option for both treatment and definitive diagnostic confirmation.
