Arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy is a type of cardiomyopathy characterized by fibroadipose replacement of the myocardium. It has typically been described as a predominant pathology of the right ventricle (RV), but it can also affect the left ventricle. This myocardial tissue alteration can cause ventricular dysfunction and be a substrate for the development of potentially malignant arrhythmias. We report the case of a patient with a diagnosis of arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy in whom a thrombus was found in the right ventricle with the imaging techniques used in the diagnostic process.
