Disjunction of the mitral annulus: in search of a definition
DOI:

mitral valve, disjunction, prolapse, echocardiographyAbstract
Mitral annulus disjunction has been associated with arrhythmias, in some cases severe, and arrhythmic prolapse. However, it is detected in most of the population according to the technique used. There is a problem of definition since most consider it only in systole, demonstrating that this is a mistake and that must be seen in diastole to consider a real disjunction. It is a valvular abnormality in search of definition.
