Abstract

Aortic pseudoaneurysm is a rare but serious complication in patients with endocarditis on a biological aortic prosthesis, whether surgically or percutaneously implanted. We must have a high level of suspicion in those patients with persistent fever in whom TEE does not show clear signs of endocarditis, as it is often insufficient for accurate assessment of the ascending aorta and additional tests are required. Thoracic CT angiography is an excellent technique to assess this anatomy.
