Abstract

Arteriovenous malformations are a very rare congenital condition, although most of them are asymptomatic, complications may vary from local symptoms to cardiac failure. Both, a medical team to approach the correct diagnose, and a group of specialised surgeons are critical for the treatment of this condition. We present the case of a 73-year-old man with a right coronary artery fistula to right atrial arteriovenous malformation. Due to the acute chest pain that the patient manifested, a transthoracic echocardiography was performed, which revealed a right atrial mass. Subsequent studies revealed that the malformation nurtured from a coronary fistula and other arteries.
