Myocardial infarction due to left coronary artery compression in acute aortic syndrome

An unusual mechanism of myocardial infarction is described as a complication of acute aortic syndrome. The hematoma generated from an intimal tear above the aortic cusp without extension towards the ascending aorta. It compressed the left main coronary artery. A chronic type B dissection with distal aortic arch involvement was detected, implementing the overall treatment of the thoracic aorta.
