Aortic valvular abnormalities may occur in the natural history of a ventricular septal defect (VSD), which leads to an aortic insufficiency and modify the clinical picture and prognosis of the patient, mainly in cases of subarterial
infundibular type. By this reason it is important to define the anatomy of the defect and its impact on the functionality of the valve; understand that they do not present spontaneous closure; requires monitoring and decision of the time of surgical treatment, regardless of the symptoms.
