Abstract

The subcostal window is an alternative for the evaluation of patients with limited conventional acoustic windows. It is also a good view point in the detection of shunts across the interatrial septum and for the evaluation of the proximal portion of the superior vena cava (VCS), anatomy of the aortic valve and right ventricle.
