Lobar pneumonia and new-onset murmur, coincidence or causality?

Advances in the treatment of acute myocardial infarction have improved patient mortality. However, cases affec-ting large territories, late hospital admission and lack of reperfusion at the tissue level due to “no reflow” or “slow flow” continue to be frequent problems that can lead to mechanical complications, shock or even to death. We present a clinical case that shows how a complementary test can lead to an erroneous diagnosis if it is not suppor-ted by a solid clinical history and physical examination.
