Secondary cardiac tumours are 20-40 times more frequent than primary tumours. Around 80% of primary tumours are benign, and more than 50% of these are myxomas. Within the myxomas, 80% arises at the level of the left atrium, and its form of presentation is very varied, being able to cause obstruction of the left ventricle entrance tract, arrhythmias and embolic phenomena
