Cardiac primary angiosarcoma is an uncommon malignant primary tumor of mesenchymal origin with very poor prognosis because it tends to infiltrate the heart and invades the surrounding structures. The diagnosis is made by cardiac imaging; transthoracic echocardiogram and transesophageal echocardiogram provide information about extension, implantation site, size and hemodynamic parameters related to the presence of the mass. Evaluation of the mass can include cardiac magnetic resonance and computerized cardiac tomography.
